With another successful year offering our Cooperative Wine Scheme in 2021, we will be offering it again for 2022!
Do you have a grape vine in your back garden that feeds the birds and you do not know what to do with? Here at Halfpenny Green, we are here to help!
You can bring your grapes to us (no minimum quantity required) and we press, process and ferment them with other peoples grapes to create a communal rose wine. You can then purchase back your bottle allocation the following year, for the 2022 vintage we predict the price will approximately be £3.75 per bottle.
This year we will be accepting grape deliveries on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The first delivery date will be on Friday 16th September 2022, and the final day will be Sunday 30th October 2022. Delivery between 9:00 – 16:00.
As per previous years we will be operating a self service system:
– You arrive at the unloading station, you weigh your grapes by tipping them into the trays provided and recording the KG from the scales.
– A form will be there for you to fill in your details and weight.
– Finally, post your completed form in the letter box provided.
Most of the time there will be winery staff available to assist if necessary.
Please respect other community members and staff during grape deliveries.
HAPPY HARVEST!
Hi,
I brought my garden grapes in 2021 to join the community Rose harvest and I think you said I could buy back either 3or 4 ( I forget) bottles this year. Would you have a record of me? I filled in a form at the time?
Hi, I haven’t heard anything back from last year’s contribution either, nor has my mum. We filled out the forms with our contact details when we dropped off our grapes last October.
The year before we had an email to confirm we could come and purchase the wine but nothing this year.
Hi Fiona, I do apologise about this all emails were sent a few months ago. I can only apologise.
If you come up to the shop you can collect your allocation and pay there.
It’s the first year my vines that were purchased from you have grapes . They are really tiny, is there a minimum size/weight?
Many thanks
Hi Julie, there is no minimum quantity or weight.
